## Model Overview

### Description:

A genome-scale language foundation model (GenSLM) is an LLM trained on all known genomes from a virus or bacteria. It learns the evolutionary landscape of viruses like SARS-CoV-2 and can accurately and rapidly identify new variants.

This demo shows the visualization of the sequence log-likelihood (blue bar) and the cross-protein attention (orange lines), generated from the model, for a selected lineage to understand its co-evolutionary patterns.
