What is the NVIDIA Container Toolkit

The NVIDIA Container Toolkit allows users to build and run GPU accelerated Docker containers. The toolkit includes a container runtime library and utilities to automatically configure containers to leverage NVIDIA GPUs. This container is deployed as part of the NVIDIA GPU Operator and is used to provision the NVIDIA container runtime and tools on the system. The container also configures the Docker engine so that containers can leverage NVIDIA GPUs with the runtime.

Running

The NVIDIA GPU Operator deploys this container automatically on GPU nodes in a Kubernetes cluster. This container is not expected to be run in a standalone manner outside of a Kubernetes cluster environment.
