What is CUDA GL?

CUDA is a parallel computing platform and programming model invented by NVIDIA. It enables dramatic increases in computing performance by harnessing the power of the graphics processing unit (GPU).

CUDA GL, extends the CUDA images by adding support for OpenGL through libglvnd. These images are provided for use as a base layer upon which to build your own GPU-accelerated application container image.

Publishing of new cudagl image tags are on temporary hiatus

cudagl image updates have been put on hold until we can implement improved support in our internal CI/CD system. This means new cudagl image tags for new toolkit versions will not be published until we have implemented the required changes.

We will continue updating existing image tags to capture CVE updates.

Work on new pipeline automation is expected to begin late Q2-2022.

Until that date, it is possible to build these images using our build.sh helper script:

./build.sh -d --image-name <a_private_container_registry_url>/cudagl --cuda-version 11.6.2 --os ubuntu --os-version 20.04 --arch x86_64 --cudagl --push
